As Conductor and Music Director, he has worked on some of theatre’s most iconic musicals throughout North America, Europe, Asia, Brazil, Mexico, Australia, London’s West End and on Broadway

Credits include : Aladdin, The Lion King, Mary Poppins, Beauty and the Beast, Les Miserables, Chicago, Miss Saigon, On a Clear Day You Can See Forever, The Phantom of the Opera, Newsies, The Secret Garden and Peter Pan with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

At the National Theatre : Oh What a Lovely War & The Villains Opera.

Music Director on over 50 productions for the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford upon Avon and London.

James recently conducted Disney & Pixar’s UP film, live in concert with the Manhattan School of Music Symphony Orchestra

He conducted Disneys Newsies filmed at the Pantages Theater in Hollywood.
